Links

This is a big chunk of the links that I’ve found and saved that have been helpful for me along the way. I’m including the most informative stuff, but excluding other things I’ve found that are either not relevant anymore, or just kitschy click-bait sites with cool design stuff. You can find that on your own. I don’t intend to update these that often, so sorry in advance if any of them are dead.

HANDY BOB’S BATTERY CHARGING PUZZLE!!! The definitive guide to doing solar right! He insists this is not meant to be a guide, but read it, and read it again…then read it 10 more times and take notes. This is how I intend to do my solar setup.

Here’s an encyclopedia about RV electrical and solar by people that rely on it full-time.

Videos:

Jarrod Pimental’s first conversion video. Watch his entire conversion from beginning to end by going through the rest of his conversion videos. He killed it. The layout is definitely not my style, but the information is golden!

These are some very cool interior design choices.

A decent conversion. What stood out to me was the alternator setup that charges the house batteries while it drives. Genius!

This is a slapped-together conversion, but it came out great for what they wanted from it.

Waste Vegetable Oil:

WVO Designs (probably the company I will use)

Golden Fuel Systems (more expensive, not necessarily better)

Cool Conversions:

This is a very well-executed bus conversion. The builders took their time. I’m modeling a lot of what I plan to do off of this conversion. The website is a bit of a pain to navigate, but the information is worth it.

Jarrod’s bus blog.

The Just Right Bus. Well-executed design that keeps it simple.

An entire conversion in a short blog post.

Alright, this one gets a lot of attention because it was put together by an architecture student. It looks nice and airy, but it’s not really my style. I’m a little miffed about why it keeps popping up in random internet things I find.

Nice simple conversion. I would love to lounge about in this one.

Something about wood and school buses just feels right.

Misc:

Adventure Vans. Similar concept, less space.

An excellent Sprinter conversion. This is how you maximize your tiny space.
